Dear Go Classy,

You suggested that my wife and I try the new Desire Resort in Cabo San Lucas
area. We did it!  Here are our thoughts:

We were pleased to learn that almost all the major airlines travel non-stop
to Cabo. We selected an airline and booked a 7 night stay at the Resort. We
did not know what to expect. Desire Cabo is less than 3 months old, so we
felt like pioneers, of sort. We were excited and ready for a new experience.
After a quick 20 minute ride from the Airport, we arrived.

We were immediately impressed when we entered the resort lobby. The marble
floors, the sculptures, the mirrors and artwork that adorned the check in
area, made us realize we were at a very special resort.  We were handed a
small piece of paper, added our home address to it and signed on the bottom
line. Bingo ! We were handed our keys and a glass of champagne. Total check
in time, 4 minutes. Our room was a short walk from the lobby. The luggage
man was right ahead of us showing the way. When we entered our "standard"
room my wife said, "WOW"!  Contemporary furnishings, black, white and red
colors, pillows everywhere, a curved white leather couch, beautiful tasteful
erotic artwork on the walls, a refrigerator (stocked), a Las Vegas style
safe, our own balcony, plus top quality linens on an awesome king size bed.
After finishing our champagne, we unpacked our luggage and began to explore
the property.

Desire Cabo has a total of 151 rooms. 133 of those rooms are just like ours.
The landscape is incredible. Sand areas with cactus, plus green grass areas
cover the entire property. The walkways are surrounded by beautiful trees
and other Mexican desert plants.
As we walked towards the pool, we encountered friends at the outdoor Melange
bar, (open 24 hours) After enjoying a margarita, we
proceeded to the pool area. The swimming pool is huge and it is kept at a
perfect temperature, Blue neon lights illuminate the pool edges at night. A
very romantic sight. We had lunch that day at the Tentazione pool
restaurant. Hamburgers, club sandwich or steamed fish, which was the best of
the best. Of course, there was always plenty of nachos and salsa. The pool
bar is open 9 to 6 every day. Our favorite drink was called a Desire
Special. I am not sure what is in it, but we loved it.

The Skytop Jacuzzi Hot-Tub is located on top of the same building which
contains a Full Service Spa, Steam Room, Sauna and an Exercise Room. Fitness
buffs will be pleased with the up-to-date exercise equipment. Yes! The
Hot-Tub has it's own bar and is open till 3 AM. The view from this Skytop
location is fabulous. Sunset is a favorite time to relax here.

Desire offers 2 main restaurants. Il'Piacere and Suki. Each of these have
varying menus...see your room guide for an exact schedule. Mexican,
Mediterranean, Italian and Oriental. The cuisine from each of these
restaurants will please even the most
"hard to please" taste-buds. These 2 restaurants will, by themselves, be a
reason to plan a return trip to Desire Cabo, ASAP.
One morning, we were too lazy to get out of bed. (We stayed in the Disco too
long)  We called room service and ordered breakfast to be delivered to our
room. It was delivered promptly and it was perfect. Room service is included
!

While relaxing on the airplane during our return trip, my wife and I decided
that the biggest reason we will return to Desire is the quality of the
entire Desire Resort staff. Whoever selected these people deserves a huge
thank you for providing their guests with the very best of efficient and
genuinely friendly people to take care of our every need.

Mr. and Mrs. JR

P.S. Thank you for furnishing our transfers on Epic Transportation. They
were perfect, too !
